Juanita Dillman Blevins, age 89 passed away Sunday March 19, 2023 at the Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion, VA.


Mrs. Blevins was born in Smyth County, VA to the late Joseph Glenn Dillman and Lillie Gray Coe Dillman and was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Their Lee Blevins; son, Barry Kenley Blevins; brother, Edward L. Dillman; brother in law, Edward Whitely;  


Juanita graduated from Rich Valley High School and West Virginia Business College in Bluefield, WV.  She was retired from Smyth County Community Hospital with over 30 years of service.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. In her younger days she enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting and crossword puzzles.  She was a member of Mt. Zion UMC in Marion.  Her granddaughter and great grandkids were the joy of her life.


Survivors include, son, Greg Blevins and wife Mary of Marion, VA; granddaughter Sarah Blevins and fiancee Zachary Parks; great grandchildren, Layla Skipper and Asher Parks; brother, Garold Dillman, Sr. and wife Patti; sister, Sandra D. Whitely; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive.  


Funeral services will be held at 7PM Wednesday March 22, 2023 at Bradley’s Funeral Home in Marion with pastor Mack Blevins, pastor Mark Barker and pastor Steve Wright officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-7PM prior to services.  Interment will be at 1PM Thursday at Ridgedale Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Mt. Zion Church, 1598 Old Ebenezer Road Marion, VA 24354.  Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com.  Bradley’s Funeral Home is serving the Blevins family.

Greg, I just noticed Juanita went to be with the Lord last month. I worked with her in medical records years ago. Prayers. We had such good times. I’ve often thought of her and will miss her. I remember u too and Mary.

Greg, I am so sorry to hear about Juanita. Her picture video was amazing. I will never forget the times we had at SCCH in Medical Records! We laughed, we fought, we cried. That seems like a lifetime ago. I will never forget her laugh and I can still remember those days so well. I will forever remember Juanita and those days we all worked together. I have pictures of Shatley Spring trips that we all enjoyed to well. Good times. Great memories. I am praying for you all!.

Juanita was my older sister,whom I'm going to miss talking to frequently an just being my sister was enough, knowing she was there when I needed to ask or talk to her, an being there for me. My last word to her was I LOVE YOU AN SHE SAID, I LOVE YOU.❤ ON SATURDAY NIGHT AT 10 PM ON MARCH 18. AN MY WAKE UP CALL WAS SUNDAY SAYING, SHE HAD GONE TO BE WITH OUR HEAVENLY FATHER, ALL HER PAIN IS GONE NOW,REST IN PEASE LOVE YOUR SISTER SANDRA.

I Habs known Juanita for many years and when I married her nephew they made me feel like part of the family. She will be missed. Praying for all of her family.
