Juanita Haydel passed away on September 8, 2023 at the age of 74 in Luling, Louisiana. The obituary was featured in The Times-Picayune on September 10, 2023.
As a former student, I can say that Dr. Haydel was the best! She really cared and she lent a guiding hand during some hard times. She is sorely missed.

Whenever I would volunteer at JB Martin, Juanita would always stop and talk for a few minutes no matter how busy she was. She always made us feel appreciated. Juanita was a wonderful person. We will remember you all in our prayers.
