Our beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and dear friend, JUANITA “JENNY” ROMERO BERNAL, age 77, of Las Cruces passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. “Jenny” as she was fondly known to family and friends was born March 1, 1944 in Mesquite to Teofilo and Hilaria Macias Romero. She was a proud graduate of Gadsden High School Class of 1963. Jenny, retired from Memorial Medical Center as a CNA in the Pediatrics Unit, a position that she enjoyed for many years. Jenny enjoyed going to Estates and Yard Sales with her daughter, where she was a collector of Teddy Bears and Porcelain Dolly’s; but her favorite pass time was spending time with family, friends and especially all her pets.  She was member of the Calvary Christian Center.

In 1976 Jenny, married the love of her life, Roman C. Bernal and together they raised four children, Arturo Lujan, Michael Bernal and Andrew Bernal; a daughter, Rene Bernal all of Las Cruces. Other survivors include two brothers, Pete Romero (Rosa) of Las Cruces and Phillip Romero (Gloria) of La Mesa; two sisters, Mary Palmer (Kent) and Christine Romero all of Las Cruces, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jenny was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Petra, Isabella, Ofelia and Micaela; three brothers, Santos, Jesus and Willie; and a daughter-in-law, Donna Bernal.

Jenny was such a wonderful friend that I met while working on the Mother/Baby Floor at MMC back in 1994. One of the sweetest ladies around and sometimes we prayed together. So glad I saw her in the store about a month before she passed. She was blessed with a super kind family and I never heard a cross word out of her mouth. I miss you Jenny❤ RIP

Our deepest condolences. May she rest in peace.

My deepest condolences. Your Mom will live forever in our memories, as they bring a smile to our faces. May GOD bless you and your family in this challenging time, but rest assured she is in HIS caring hands forever. Rene - god bless you and continue to heal you. If you need someone, I'm here for you.
