Juanita Magee

Nita Magee was one of a kind. I knew her through St. James Church growing up and through my mother Doris Y Richardson (also a member of St. James Church). She was one of my mother's dearest friend. Broke my heart when I had to call and tell her about my mom's passing. Nita you will be dearly missed but never forgotten. She was one of those rare people that made you feel better just to be with her. What a loving, kind and remarkable lady. She will be missed but she will never be forgotten.

Nita was such a remarkable woman. She was a voracious reader and very philosophical about life. I hope she is in heaven having a cup of tea with my parents! I feel blessed to have known her.

I knew Nita at St. James and as a member of St. Monnica Chapter of DOK. She was such a calming, prayerful, and practical presence. She was very special to me and someone I missed very much when I moved away from Shreveport. Condolences to her family and her St. James family.
