Not sure what to say?

People never know what to say at times like this. But I have learned that it really doesn’t have to be a great speech – you just need to hear that we are sorry for your loss, and happy for the time you did have with your loved one. Judith – your Mom was young at heart and fun to be with. You probably didn’t know that we even talked about taking a trip together. We didn’t get serious so of course it never happened, but it was fun to think about.
No matter how old we get, it’s...

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Juanita was a lifelong friend. We had many wonderful times together and learned Canasta together. Christmas for the children was special, putting doll houses together and wrapping gifts. I will miss her and her unconquerable and determind spirit.

Our parents enjoyed a frienship of sixty years and I enjoyed the Mansfields as godparents for the entirety of my life. She was my little sweetheart and the queen of her world...An excellent role model for women who love. She gave us all more love than most people ever receive. Thank you Aunt Juanita and I miss my godmom's unchanging love.

I found an entry for Juanita Woodson in the 1930 census in St. Louis, MO. Her occuption was listed as "cook". I know Neno was a very good cook and wonder if she was doing this as a living in the early part of her life. Her cooking will always be remembered.

I feel privileged to have sat with Jill and listened to her joyful conversation with Neno and George Anthony just a few weeks ago, and to then hear Neno's strong, defiant spirit in her conversation with Jill just a day before she passed away. She has left Jill with so many wonderful memories, and I know that I will always think of her pecans and poundcake and infectious energy. She made me smile.
My love to you all. Please know that I am thinking of you.

My heartfelt condolences to the Mansfield family. I have many fond memories of Mrs. Mansfield and her devotion to family. I still remember being part of the 'family' during my high school years and her continued friendship in the years to follow.
I would also like to extend deepest sympathy on behalf of my mother Geraldine Gilbert. She always enjoyed when Juanita would stop by and visit her at ABC Cleaners.

My sense condolence in this painful moment to all.

It fills me with satisfaction has known such a nice person, full of happiness and generous during my stay with the Goodman's in Ann Arbor, MI.

God blesses her, always...
