Not sure what to say?

Juanita was a our dear friend, as is Manuel. We enjoyed chatting on the phone, for we often were unable to coordinate times for all of us to be at our places at Sailboat Bay in Gulf Shores at the same time. I remember the day we took our boats out and up the several rivers of the back Bay. What a day that was and to top it off, we ended up boating to Lulu's. The good times and the smiles we will remember and the many phone conversations too, as well as get togethers. What a great person...

Juanita was my cousin. Even though I only knew her through emails, I could sense the vitality in her life. We met online several years ago while working on First Families of Alabama. She was able to finally, after much research, provide me with the missing link I needed to become a member of FFA. I'm not sure she was ever able to prove her connection to FFA but I know she tried. My deepest sympathies to her family. I know she is missed.

To the family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. May God continue to strength and guide you during your time of sorrow. If at any time that you need someone to talk to just call on me and I will be there to comfort you.

Muy sentido pesame.

I have such wonderful memories of Juanita and Manolito in the days when I lived in Birmingham back in the late 70's. I've thought of you both and of Kris so many times. Juanita was such a friend to me when I first met her in the dialysis unit at UAB. She had such a wonderful positive outlook and always made me laugh. She was a bright woman with many talents and accomplishments. Juanita was an encourager and a true role model for all of us who were fortunate to have worked with her and...

Juanita came to my gourmet cooking classes for many years. During this period I came to learn and admire her many talents and interests. When I think of Juanita I think of life, enthusiasm, her love for learning and of having fun. I will miss her dearly. My condolences to all her family. God bless.

Manuel,
I am so sorry for your loss. I know she was your best friend.! We are thinking of you. Lisa Kimbrough, UAB Anesthesiology

Grandma Juanita,

I will never forget you. I will never forget the kind words of encouragement and wisdom that you gave me on numerous occasions. I will never forget your smile or the way that the entire room "lit up" every time you walked in. I will never forget the devotion and love that you showed Monolito and he whole-heartedly returned. I will never forget the way that my dad or Aunt Kris looked at you. You were a wonderful woman who accomplished so many incredible things...

I will never forget the friendship of Juanita!! She helped me prepare for the Nursing boards in the 70s. We were nursing students at the same time and worked at the Boaz-Albertville Hospital. Lane and I had the privilege of introducing Juanita to our friend and roommate while in the UAB Nurse Anesthesia Program in the mid-70s. She was so much fun. She will be missed by many people that loved her so much. My mother told me this past weekend that she still has and uses a "little frog" Juanita...
