Juan (John) G. Silva, beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, entered eternal rest on Wednesday March 11, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on February 16, 1934 in San Antonio, Texas to Juanita and Pedro Silva. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Felicitas and Maria Elena. John was a loving husband and family man who is survived by his wife, Elizabeth J. Silva of 49 years; sons, Joseph (Margaret) and Michael Silva; daughter, Angela Miller (David); grandchildren, Jack, Zachary, Matthew, Mia and Ruben.

John served in the United States Army and enjoyed a long career serving at Kelly Air Force Base in the Civil Service. He loved spending time in retirement traveling with his wife, spending time with his grandchildren, listening to music and gardening in the backyard. John was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, and was always willing to help and assist family in need.

FUNERAL SERVICES

Public Viewing will begin Monday, March 23, at 5:00 P.M. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at the Angelus Chapel. A procession will depart from the Angelus Chapel on Tuesday, March 24, at 9:00 A.M. for a Funeral Mass at 9:30 A.M. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 350 Sutton Drive, San Antonio, TX 78228, (210)733-7152. Interment will follow with military honors at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

Dear Aunt Jeanette and cousins, I'm so loss for words at this difficult time. I'll always remember my Uncle as a kind and loving person. Rest in Peace Tio.

Uncle John Silva always had a smile on his face and was the nicest person at family functions. He truly loved his family and will be missed by me and all his family members. Love you all and my condolences to all. He was a Beautiful person. May he rest in peace and watch over you all. He fought as long as he could.
