Dear Mrs. Wilcox and family: I was so sorry to hear about Judge Wilcox's death. I was very fond of him. He was a very kind and gentle man.

I was Judge Channell's court reporter for 9 years and because of their friendship we had many staff Christmas lunches together.

I also was Judge Arnason's court reporter for 4 years after Judge Channell was elevated to the Appellate Court.

I hope that time eases your pain and that it helps to know that other people...

To Judge Wilcox's family I send my sincere sympathy. Max gave me a chance that few men would do - I was a Deputy Sheriff wanting to be a Bailiff - he gave me that opportunity - I will always be grateful for that great experience. He was a great Judge - those that cared quietly called him "Maximum Max" - because he was firm yet fair in some of the most terrible cases. He was a great boss for 4 years - fond memories of my 25 year career in law enforcement. Thank you for allowing me to let...
