Not sure what to say?

Judy was a true joy that inspired us with her unconditional love. I had the great pleasure of meeting the family when taking care of the mother, Mrs.Clarissa Haviland. She'll always have a very special place in everyone's heart.

I first met Judy in the early 70's when as an impressionable recent college graduate I got a job with Lehigh Valley Child Care. I still remember her smile and presence from that time. I left LVCC only to return in the early 90's. I found that not only did Judy and I share a love of children but that her children were alumni of Westtown Friends School as am I. It was another common link. I came to the Administrative Offices in 1997 and saw Judy almost every day. Then Judy retired. It was...

What can you say about this lovely lady that everyone else doesn't know already? She always had a pleasant smile and gave you a reception that made you feel that no one else in the room mattered. I was fortunate to be on the committee to vote her the Athena Award for which she was so deserving. About 3 weeks ago I saw her driving her car and was shocked when I learned of her too early death a week after that. She has given so much to this community especially the children and had so much...

In Memory of Judy Chase..... I will always remember Judy with a smile on her face.....it radiated genuine warmth and friendliness that made everyone feel comfortable in her presence. Judy was always there for everyone.....always caring for and helping others in need. Judy was a dedicated advocate for Lehigh Valley Child Care. Judy left a good example for all of us to follow.... always be there for those who are less fortunate than we are and that a smile is worth a thousand words...... for it...

Judy was such a hands on, people person, who made you feel so special and important when you were in her presence. She had an amazing spirit that radiated through her smile. She had such a great love for children. She will be deeply missed at LVCC.

I have worked for Lehigh Valley Child Care for the past 19 years. During this time I had the pleasure of knowing Judy. She was the greatest person, always smiling. Because of Judy, many parents were able to finish school and reach their goals because they knew their children were well cared for while they were away from them.

It is still difficult for me to address the personal impact of Judy's death. I am submitting a memorial that I have written for our agency newsletter that is being sent to over a thousand child care providers throughout the State. It truly reflects how Judy is remembered by both her personal and professional friends.

When a community loses a special person, the loss is felt in many ways. There is the loss of a special friend. Judy Chase was that to many of us. There is the loss of...

I did not know Judy Chase personally, but I am one of many parents in the Lehigh Valley who remain grateful to her for the work she did as an advocate for children. My son attended LVCC for a number of years, making it possible for me to work, worry free, because he was in capable and loving hands during the day. God bless Judy (and people like her). Your life had real purpose.

Sincerely,

Joan Decker

I got to know Judy while working at Lehigh Valley Child Care. Every time I would attend a Center Directors meeting I could always count on Judy for a smile at the end of the table. It was a privilege to know and work for Judy Chase. My thoughts are with the family.
