Judith Des Pres

My deepest sympathy to the Des Pres family. I was a student of Judith's. I graduated from Westwood High in 1999. Judith was one of the most influential people in my life, her kind words and engorgement played a crucial role in my decision to pursue a career in the arts and to attend Art School after graduating from Westwood high. She was a very special person.

I wanted to express my deepest sympathy to the family of Ms Des Pres. I was a student of hers at Westwood High School and graduated in 1988. She was truly a asset to art department and most importantly a wonderful teacher and person. I was just speaking of her to another student that graduated in 1988 and she told me about her cosmetics and I wanted to see all about it. I am truly saddened that I did not get to see her in a perfect element for her.

I just heard of Judy's death today (Dec. 21, 08) and send you my sympathy, Jean Paul. I was the librarian at Westwood H.S. when Judy was there. I retired in 1994 and have not been in touch but did know that Judy was ill. I always enjoyed her unique companionship and admired her talent.
