Judith Irene "Judy" Devito

My son, Trenton, was one of the fortunate ones to have Mrs. Devito for his kindergarten teacher. Her name was mentioned often in conversations around our home. She was the best for young students. It was always fun being a volunteer parent in her classroom. Your memories will live on forever. So sorry for the Devito family. You have so many wonderful memories of your mom.

Mrs. Devito was the best kindergarten teacher everI am so grateful for her and the love I felt from her while I was her student. She called to tell me how proud she was of me when I won an award in high school, and it meant the world to me. Sending lots of love and prayers to her family

In the early 2000's, I took several Early Childhood Education courses at Kenai Peninsula College, which were taught by Judy. When I signed up, I was taking her classes to fulfill credit requirements in convenient time slots. I was also a young mother. Judy opened my mind to many things, helped me to be a better person and parent, and in some ways, she shifted the trajectory of my life. Judy kept in touch with me for years afterward. She was a special person. I am sorry to hear of her passing.

Condolences to your family. Mrs. Devito was such a joy to be around and the kids loved her as their teacher.

Although I didn't teach with Judy I know she was revered as a teacher by everyone from fellow teachers to parents to her students. A fond RIP to wonderful teacher and person.
