11/19/1937 ~ 7/28/2015Judith Ann Kiernan, Ph.D., R.N., was fabulous - FAB-U-LOUS! She was a critical thinker, a hoot, loud, hysterical, irritating, brilliant, and above all a loving character who rarely filtered what she said and always wore her heart on her sleeve. Born to Eunice Warner Kiernan...

I am literally just now, day 2 of 2017, going through old contact data and decided to look up Judy. You see, Judy and I were very close in Vietnam, Can Tho, in particular. We had some good times ~ to the extent folks can have good times in a war zone.

Everything that I've read of the others who have written is so true: lively, cheerful, always helping, and loving. That was Judy!

We kept in touch after VN and my grad school. I visited her at her beach side home -- was it...

Oh no Judith. I haven't kept up, and now you are gone. Judith was on my tennis team for years until 2007. What a fun lady that will be truly missed. She helped me with my husband when he was so sick. We used Starks Funeral Home after his death 11/2/15. Great place. Judith, you will be missed.

I was so shocked when I heard Judy was no longer with us. What a wonderful woman ! We were in Salt Lake in July, and were fortunate to have dinner with her. Little did we know that this would be our last time to share a fun everning with dear Judy.
What a loss... Judy was such a caring person who went out of her way to help others. Judy did not have a mean bone in her body and was a consumate, caring person to all her patients and friends. Judy, we will miss you so much. God Bless. ...

What a dear friend we have lost! Our hearts are broken. Judy was like a big sister to me. She was always a reliable ear and advisor. I will always remember first meeting her at her home in the avenues. I will also always remember her impromptu 'open house' on the very day she moved into her new home. I think someone even spilled red wine on her carpet Day 1!She hosted so many fun parties, including a surprise birthday party for me. She was an excellent cook and a very generous and gracious...

Judy was a very caring, smart, fun loving friend. She loved all animals and disliked hurting even an ant or fly. We shared so many great times. She was always there for me as I was for her. Judy knew her family loved her and was so looking forward to seeing them in October. I will miss my dearest friend more than words can ever express.

Judy was a wonderful woman and also my boss for many years. She always pushed to me to expand my horizons. I appreciated her so much for her kindness and of course her unending energy! I missed her when she left the University hospital upon retirement but then we reconnected when she worked at CNS. Judy is a tremendous woman and I am so glad that I got to be a small part of her life. Donna Thomas

To Judy's Loved Ones,

Judy was very kind to me when I worked at the University of Utah Hospital. During the time that my young daughter had cancer, Judy was the Nurse Manager and she made special arrangements for me to go into the recovery room right after my daughter's surgery. I have never forgotten that kind gesture; it meant a lot to my little girl for me to be there. I will always remember the special things Judy did for me as well as her kind and encouraging words.

Judy...

Dear JuJu, I will always remember how happy you always were around me. I am so grateful for your kind, loving, happy and funny personality. I will always remember your tears of joy when you were at my wedding. Thank you so much for always making me feel special and important and I will always remember the way your eyes sparkled when I made you laugh. Natalie and her family miss you too and were devastated at your passing. I hope you are challenging dad to tennis and ski competitions. We love...

Judy was a person that when you first meet here, it feels like you've known her forever. She was positive, upbeat, interesting and so many qualities that makes the world a better place. She will be missed, but she will also be remembered, not only for what she did, but for who she was. RIP
