Skaja Terrace Funeral Home - Niles Obituary

Dr. Judith I. Knorst PhD., 87, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025.   Judith, a Doctor of Philosophy from Northwestern U., fluent in five languages, taught and counseled students at the University of Illinois Chicago for most of her career.  She was an avid world traveler who studied in Italy, Germany and Spain for a time.  Judith, an animal lover, also enjoyed concerts and opera with friends and raising money for her favorite charities.  She was the beloved daughter of the late Walter and Evelyn Knorst (nee Winkates); loving sister of Suzanne (the late David) Miller; beloved aunt of Carolyn (Charles) Samuel, Steven Miller and the late Frank Miller; great-aunt of Kyle Frank Miller.  Thank you to Resurrection Place and Rainbow Hospice for their excellent care.  A private memorial service will take place at a later time.  Donations can be made to the Benedictine Sisters of Chicago.
