Hello, I must tell you that I just googled Judith's name - why? Because I'd just read a poem of hers, "Bike at Seal Cove," and was so wowed by it that I had to tell her. If she knew me, it was peripherally, so this would have been out of the blue...but poets appreciate hearing that a poem landed profoundly. This is a gorgeous poem. Dear Ernest, I am sorry for your loss. I did not know Judy well but I have nice memories of her at both family gatherings and when I visited you all in Michigan 50 years ago. I remember her laugh and I will always be grateful that she leant me her daughter for a night! I had a lot of fun with Cassandra! I was always a bit awed by Judy. She was one of the first feminist that I knew. She will be missed! Cousin Laurel
