Judith Ann Novgrod

Judy was the most supportive person in my life of my endeavors in the theater. Which made it possible for me to continue and to teach which was a daunting artistic responsibility. i think of her often and I miss her.

I have dedicated the work in my acting book to the incredible artist and friend Judy Novgrod . The book is called, A Young Actor Prepares. I miss her dearly.

I have only just now learned of Judy's passing. She was my teacher at the Actors and Directors Lab and over the years we became friends. Though we lost touch when she moved back to the west coast, I think of her often. She was a generous and caring person. She taught me to understand sense memory, a valuable acting tool, as well as a tool for life itself.

I send my love to the family. I'm heartbroken. She was my very first acting teacher at The Actors and Directors' Lab in New York and directed me in two plays here in Los Angeles. I currently act and use much of her teachings at my acting studio. Judy was so dear to me and I'm so sorry that she is no longer here. I loved her a lot.

Dr. Judy was my long time friend and colleague. I am shocked and saddened by her passing. My sincere condolences to her family and Donny. She will be missed!

Sending love and prayers to Judy's family. I worked with her at TTC and was blessed by her kindness and love toward me. She was funny and so awesome to be around. I will miss her dearly. Praying for God's comfort to be with you the family/friends.
