PENDLEY, Judith R. - Of Grand Blanc, age 73, died Monday, August 1, 2011 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 12 noon Friday, August 5, 2011 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Reverend Jeremy Africa of Goodrich United Methodist Church officiating.Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society. Judith was born in Pontiac on August 25, 1937, the daughter of the late Guy and Evelyn Dotson. Judy married Clarence Dwight Pendley in 1978. Judy graduated from Heidelberg American High School, Germany, Class of 1955. She attended Goodrich United Methodist Church. Judy enjoyed sewing, traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Surviving are husband, Dwight; children, Bill McPherson of Grand Blanc, Steve and wife Tina McPherson of Grand Blanc and Shari Pendley of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Danielle and Samantha; several nieces, nephews and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Virgil Jarmin Jr. Special thank you to the entire staff at Hurley Medical Center.
