Judith Schiebout passed away on September 24, 2020 in Lafayette, Louisiana. The obituary was featured in The Acadiana Advocate on November 5, 2020, The Advocate on November 5, 2020, and The Times-Picayune on November 5, 2020.
Dr. Schiebout hired me in the mid 80's to type grants and do other duties as assigned. She also taught me one very enjoyable Museum course. The world is a poorer place without her on it today. We lost a great person.

Professor Schiebout was an excellent instructor and taught the most enjoyable class I ever attended. I am so sorry to hear that she is gone. Praying for her family and friends.

She was a great friend to my parents Especially my dad. When he was house Bound she would visit often and they both enjoyed long conversations . He looked forward to her coming and it was a blessing
My family will always be thankful for the genuine friendship and connection they had. So very sorry to hear of her passing .
