Not sure what to say?

It is a sad thing to see your old friends pass on, and it especially was so when Judy passed on. Barbara and I knew Judy since the 1960s and I as a child knew Judy since the 1940s, some 80 years ago. We lived about a block apart in Alamo Heights. Judy came from an old highly esteemed San Antonio family. Her ancestors founded Texas Military Institute and San Antonio Academy. Judy was so well educated and talented in teaching, Drama and theatre and had such a lovely personality and...

May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with your loved one comfort you and your family, today and always.

My sympathies to Stuart, Martha and all the Spencer and Bondurant families. Being next door neighbors for over 50 years, Judy and I shared the good and bad, funny and not so funny anecdotes in our front yard discussions. Topics ranged from kids, teaching ideas, politics and particular Bible passages. Our children had street parades, picnics, and fun in Grandpa´s backyard. Those were the days- safe and happy. In my last phone call with Judy we were making plans for near-future visits. Judy,...

I was so saddened to hear the news of Judy's passing. I have fond memories of visiting with her on our many trips to San Antonio to visit my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. In fact on one of our trips from Colorado down to San Antonio, we stayed with the Spencers in Big Spring. I am particularly grateful for the way that Judy mentored my brother Claiborne, and encouraged him to pursue his interest in the technical aspects of theater. Her nurturing spirit will be missed.

As a contemporary of Judy, I visited her in Big Spring on the way to Texas from Colorado. She was instrumental in getting me involved in volunteering when I moved back to San Antonio after my divorce. She got my son Claiborne on stage at First Pres and included me in Ladies Night Out for many years. I remember her proudly talking about her children's and grandchildren's activities. I even touched base with her briefly on facebook after I moved to Atlanta. I miss her active mind and love for...

My deepest condolences to the Spencer family. I was a student of Mrs Spencer at Rhodes Middle School. The passion she had for her craft was amazing. I cherish the memories of her till this day.

I extend my condolences to the family on the loss if Judy. I was a colleague at Rhodes MS for many years. Judy was a passionate advocate for many causes and there was nothing subtle in her expression of her feelings. She gave my son a beautiful book with a thoughtful inscription on his birth in 1983. Two days ago he had his first child and I found the book to send to him for his daughter. The inscription is timeless. When she is older, she will enjoy the book.
