Not sure what to say?

I only just learned of Judy's death, and am tremendously sad. In 1992 she & I worked hard together on a WGBH national radio show based on Voice of the Turtle's recordings, "Beyond 1492: 500 Years of Jewish Song and Legend." She was so generous with her time and ideas, so supportive and warm and open. I somehow thought she'd always be there whenever I came back to Boston: she was so much a part of the arts and music scene to me.

I was very surprised and saddened to hear of Judith's passing. I have loved going to Voice of the Turtle concerts and bringing friends and family to them. My deepest condolences. I have a very deep appreciation for her bringing the music and the culture to us.

So sad!!!! I had received from Judy an e-mail telling me about her illness, but I could not forsee that it was so bad. I loved to work with her at the National Sound Archives in Jerusalem and provide materials for dear dear Turtles, knowing that htese materials will be trated with love and respect.. I know that words can bring no consolation, they may only help just to let you know that I loved Judy very much and that I admired her musicianship and, even more, her human warmth.

I am so very shocked to read of Judith's death. We met often at either Voice of the Turtle or Alhambra concerts - or at the Fonoteca at the Jewish Mujsic Research Institute in Jerusalem.

My deepest sympathies to her partner, her children, grandchildren and other Voice of the Turtle members.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I was very saddened to hear of Judith's passing.

I had to privledge to meet Judith and the other members of the geroups when they appeared as performers as part of programs that acknowlegded the link of the Jews and the Portuguese. They took place in New bedford, MA.

We had several phone conversations and Judy was always upbeat and helpful.

Sephardic music has lost a treasure.

I was so saddened to hear today of Judy's passing - I will miss sharing lively discussions about Sephardic music and her steady and ebullient presence on our local music scene.

I am very very sad to hear of Judy's death. We saw each other seldom (and I met you, Gilda, only once, briefly), but she was a very generous and helpful colleague.
