Queen of Heaven Cemetery and Mortuary - Rowland Heights Obituary

Judith Billanes was born on July 10, 1976 in Manila Philippines, to Juan Billanes and Janet Billanes. She died at her home peacefully on January 13, 2026, just before 4 pm, at the age of 49 in Pomona California. She was survived by both her parents and 3 siblings: Jim, Joy and John.

As a child, Judith was a fun, loving and sweet little girl. She loved playing with her dolls, and was very fond of making friends with the neighboring kids. She liked to play dress up and played with her mother's high heels; and enjoyed reading stories with her big sister. Judith was a very happy child; she brought joy to others whenever she was around. She was full of life and her presence was so infectious to others. Her cute dimples shined across the room every time she smiled.

But when she was 5 years old she developed Type 1 Diabetes. At the time it was difficult to get insulin so her father made a decision to come to United States. Judith came to the US in 1984 when she was only 8 years old alongside her father, mother, and 3 siblings. They lived in La Puente, California where Judith studied at Lassalette Elementary School and West Covina High School. She was very smart and always on top of her class receiving high honors.

In 1993 Judith and her parents went back to the Philippines to finish high school. They lived in Loctugan, Roxas City for two years and while there, she attended St. Mary's Academy School. She was able to adapt the Philippine life so quickly on her teenage years and found herself popular among other kids her age. On her 18th birthday, she had a grand Cotillion party where she invited all her friends, classmates and the entire Billanes family. Judith looked so stunning on her pink gown with her long hair styled elegantly with beautiful curls, and natural make-up. The celebration went on all night with the 18 Roses dance as part of the traditional Cotillion dance. Judith was very happy that day. She danced the night away with glamour and grace.

Judith will always be remembered for the great person she truly was. Life will never be the same again now that she is gone but she will always be with us in spirit. Her great memories will stay in our hearts forever until the end of time.
