Judy Marie Martin, age 68 was born on August 25, 1957, in New Orleans, LA departed this earthly home on Friday, February 13, 2026. She attended John McDonogh Senior High School. Judy was the loving mother of Wanda Steele Payne (Richard), Wallace Steele III (Ahl-Trexie), Darrion Steele, and Dameka Steele. Devoted sister of Cynthia Brown (Marcellus), Hayward Martin, Jr. (Kathy), Debbie Martin and Kevin Martin (Debra). Judy was also survived by 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her former husband Wallace Steele, Jr; her parents Hayward Joseph Martin, Sr. and Marion Martin; and her sister Gail Williams (Robert). Relatives and friends of the family, also Pastor, officers and members of Greater Asia B.C. are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Greater Asia Baptist Church, 3708 St. Bernard Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70122 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Interment Providence Memorial Park & Mausoleum, 8200 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 70003. I remember Judy as a young girl
She loved children. She would spend many nights at my house just so she comb my daughter her and dress her. She had deep love for her people I will always remember her for kindness and love. Take your rest cuz.See you on the other side
