Judy's sense of humor was a delight. Quiet, mischievous. Not frivolous! Underlying focus on doing the right thing, the right way. Creative. Next time I'm in Camp Hill, I'll visit the tree that the Women's Club planted in her honor, on the Western side of the stream, near Logan Street. I "helped" [watched] it be planted by a most knowledgable gentleman. (That tree flourished, whereas a twin that someone else planted nearby, limped along. It seemed appropriate to me -- Judy did things...

Just received an e-mail from the Camp Hill Woman's Club about your mother. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you , truly, since I just lost Rich in October. Just paused to think of some of the wonderful ,and sometimes crazy, things we did both at MASH and as families.

Mrs. Shearer was a wonderful teacher. For Christmas 1965 she had recorded "A Rose for Emily" for us to hear while we each ate a candy cane she gave us. She was such a thoughtful & caring teacher and made later college courses so much easier by challenging us more in high school. I'm so very sorry that you've lost her!
