Burkhart Funeral Home - Crawfordsville Obituary

Judy Lynn Siddens 66, entered fully into the presence of the Lord on January 23rd, 2024.  While she will be missed by so many she has been greeted in Heaven by her Lord and Savior, her parents Charles and Shirlee Jones, her sister Linda, and other loved family and friends who preceded her in death.  She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of thirty-five years, Monte Siddens, who cared for her with gentle grace every single day until her last earthly breath.  Her dear sister Barbie Pilkington. Her four children Michelle Fults (Tim), Marcie Fries (John), Oran Siddens (Heather), and Mazie Siddens, all of whom loved her dearly and will continue to take care of and love each other as she has taken care of and loved us.  Her nine Grandchildren Owen and Trajan (Michelle and Tim), Melia, Sophie, Echo, John Jr., and Nate (Marcie and John), Robert (Oran and Heather), and Madayla (Mazie).  Her Grandchildren were her purpose and her joy.  She also touched the lives of each one of her several beloved family members, nieces, nephews, and their children.  She had many dear friends, old and new from life and from the church, who gave her companionship and happiness through the years.  She earned a degree in horticulture and cared for plants while employed at Engledow and Country Meadows in Indiana.  She always had a way with plants and enjoyed caring for them and visiting greenhouses and plant nurseries with her daughters.  She also enjoyed her time as a school bus driver beginning in Florida and then continuing in Greencastle and Crawfordsville after moving back to Indiana.  Judy was so full of faith, she loved her family, the church, and the Lord beyond all things.

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge.

Psalms 91:4

Not sure what to say?

I miss you everyday Grandma. I miss your laugh and your smile. I found a video a while ago of Madayla and Robert , and your voice is in the background. I watch it at least twice a day to hear your voice. It’s so difficult not being able to tell you about my new job and my new classes i’m starting soon. It’s difficult not being able to tell you anything. I know you see me though. I know you are supporting me like you always have.

So hard to find the right words when a loved one is taken from us so early. I count myself lucky that I got to know Judy at our holiday parties. She was the kind of person that would brighten the room with her warm smile and easy going nature. I told her how fortunate we were to have Monte with us and she seemed so proud. She will be missed. Monte, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I just started to get to know Judy through our small group at Harvest Fellowship and was looking forward to getting to know her more. She was so sweet the last time I saw her and her beautiful smile. I’m continuing to pray for Monte and the family for the Lord’s comfort.

I only had the opportunity to meet Judy at some company functions. She was so easy to talk to. My wife (Patti) and I sat with Monte and Judy and it was like we had known her for years. She was a great lady and will be missed. Judy and Monte always had family first and love their children and grandchildren.

This photo of Judy’s smile is contagious❤ Seeing a beautiful soul and can’t help but smile back. God Bless Monte and Judy’s family.

Monte I am so sorry to hear of Judy's passing. Praying for you and the family. So many memories of our time together. Perry will find Judy in heaven and they both will be watching over us all. ♥♥
