Thinking of you today and sending love to your family.

I wrote a longer entry, but it must have not gone through. To Julia's family, Im so sorry for your loss. Julia was a close friend when she worked with me at Solo Press under the fantastic guidance of Judith Solodkin and for Julia, Peter Kruty. Her love of all things written, was expressed and learned and enhanced at Solo. And she spread her wry humor and wonderful girl power throughout the shop. Ive posted a photo of julia I kept in my book, our NOW women's march on washington, in April of 1989. Julia inspired us to go...me, Nancy Bressler and Julia with my mother Rosemary all the way from California. Thank you Julia for being the woman that you became.

I met Julia at Kenyon through my friend and Resident Advisor David Smay. Julia: Intoxicating and Exotic Force of Nature. Fan of Robert Graves, Laban Dance Notation, and Asparagus (why do I remember that?). A wonderful dancer, your matchless style, your wry wit, your giddy laugh. I will miss you, Julia.

I don't remember exactly when I fell in love with Julia but I do know that I will always love her. We met in high school. Julia had humor, intelligence, beauty and passion - all in abundance. I feel incredibly lucky to have known Julia, incredibly sad at her passing.

Julia,

You taught me grace when you led me in our senior dance recital of "Pas de Deux for One" at Kenyon. It was an experience I'll never forget, and the world will miss your independent spirit and intense beauty. Happy Trails.

We will miss you very much. Flora is a wonderful girl and that is because of you! We will make sure your dance dream stays with Flora!
