Julia Avis Criswell

Memorial Services for Julia Avis Criswell, age 75 of Lubbock, Texas will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 25, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church in Anton with Reverend Keith Wiseman, associate pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Lubbock, officiating and Reverend Ruby Moultrie, pastor, assisting. Burial is in Anton Cemetery under the direction of Hammons Funeral Home of Littlefield.

Mrs. Criswell was born on December 16, 1928 in Logan, Quay County, New Mexico to Ewell D. and Purnie Criswell. She departed this earthly existence on June 21, 2004 in Lubbock, Texas. She moved with her family to Anton, TX in 1929 and graduated from Anton High School in 1947. She was employed in the Lubbock area retail trade for many years. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Lubbock for much of her life.

She is survived by: 2 Brothers: T.K. Criswell of Plainview, TX, E.S. Criswell of Lubbock, TX; 6 Nephews; 2 Nieces
