I was fortunate to know Julie in multiple ways... as a client, as a distant relative, and as a friend.
She was consistently a class act, which anyone who knew her at all would confirm. Professionally, she could have not been more modest or accomplished, dealing with so many people who all wanted to come away with "a little of her" to take back to their kitchens and their homes.
I will truly miss our periodic meetings and interactions, and will think of her often.

Julie was wonderful.I studied cooking with her in Chestnut Hill never realizing that when she was planning her kitchen on Delancey Place that I would one day be her neighbor on that same street. She was the best teacher of cooking I have ever had.What I learned from Julie I passed on to three girls of my five children, to my boys, the appreciation of glorious food. She was a charming graceful lady I admired and loved. I saw her recently at the party she gave on our block. She seemed amazing...
