Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home - Man Obituary

Julia Ann Frye of Kistler, WV Julia Ann "Julie" Carpenter Frye, 50, went home to be with her Heavenly Father and to be reunited with her angel, her son, Matthew Robert Runyon, on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, leaving from her earthly home where many good memories were made, after a long battle with heart disease. She was born June 15, 1966, at Detroit, MI, a daughter of Marleen Brewster Friend of Elyria, OH and the late Julius Roosevelt Carpenter. In addition to her son and father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Isaac and Plumer Akers Carpenter and Genettia Muncy White; and her uncle, Isaac "Junior" Carpenter. Julia was a 1984 graduate of Man High School where she was blessed to make lifetime friends. Although she found great joy in many things, her greatest was her family. She spent many days establishing a home with her husband, bonding with her son, and being her daughters number one fan. All until she was blessed with her grandchildren where her final years were consumed spoiling and loving them. In addition to these many blessing, the greatest fulfillment of all was giving her life to the Lord and having the comfort of abiding in Him. Her enjoyment came from worshiping God at Claypool United Methodist Church, the many weekends spent at the ball field, taking road trips with her son, and the many laughs she shared with her husband, along with the many phone calls spent with her mom, sister, brother, and friends. She never let a day go by with out saying, "I love you more." Those left to cherish her memory, are her beloved husband of 15 years, Donald Frye; three children, William (Ambria "Bam") Carpenter of Combs Addition, Marlena (Ben) McCoy of Man, and Andrea (Jon) Martin of Welch; her loving mother, Marleen (Ronald) Friend of Elyria, OH; one sister, MeShelle "Missy" (Mike) Cook of Amherst, OH; one brother, David (Shara) Carpenter of MS; her grandchildren, Cali, Kenzie Jo, and Creed McCoy, Lily-Jane Martin, and Bryndon Martin who is expected to arrive January 15, 2017; her very special parents-in-laws, Donald "Dunk" and Karen Frye along with brothers-in-law, Michael Frye and Bill Frye, all of Amherstdale; loving friends, Sherry Sansom, Mandy Cook, and her softball family; her extended family, Ann Adkins, step-sisters, Stephanie (Todd) Messer and Kim Tomblin; step-brother, Kerry "Bud" (Bridgette) Lesher; and step-son, Shawn Runyon and family; along with a host of other relatives and friends who left an impression on her heart. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2016, at the Claypool United Methodist Church at Davin with Rev. Kevin Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Claypool Cemetery at Claypool. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the Claypool United Methodist Church and one hour prior to services also. Pall bearers will be family and friends. Online condolences may be sent to www.krantzmcneelyfuneralhome.com Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.

Not sure what to say?

I hope you know how much I love you. Miss you more than ever. We didn't always see eye to eye, but what sisters do?Learning to live without the texts and silly snap chats is the hardest parts of my day. I know you are much happier, not lonely, can run, breath, play with Matthew and best of all, lay your crown at the feet of Jesus. Love you then, love you now, always have, always will.

Your "little" sister

Donald, William, and Marlena, Sorry that I wasn't able to attend the service but know that your family is in my prayers as you go through this difficult time. I hope that your faith in God and memories of Julia will be a comfort to you. She will remain close to you through the memories of the many wonderful times you shared. Love and prayers, Amy Lusk
