Julia's last breath here on earth was her first with the Lord she loved so dearly. Julia was an inspiration to all who knew her. She holds a special place in my heart and memory.

Julia was one of my special friends at Western Zone -NYSRTA. She was really terrific to talk with and had a wonderful dry sense of humor. She was a wonderful role model with her caring ways, her continual love of her fellow educators and her kind words to those she knew. I will miss sharing a ride to the Western Zone Board meeting with her. We had such fun. But, I also know that her precious soul and heart now belongs with God in His Beautiful mansion. I want to express my sincerest...

Miss Jones is one of the best memories of my years as a student at the Campus School on Buffalo State campus. She was firm, but always very caring. I was looking forward to seeing Miss Jones at our planned Campus School Reunion in July of 2008. She will be greatly missed.

As one of her students at P.S. 22 on Huntington in the 1950s, "Miss Jones" was one of my very favorite teachers because she treated us warmly, with respect, and took the time to know each of us individually. I am just sorry I didn't take the time later on to tell her what a huge impact she made on me & my pursuit of learning.

Mu deepest sympathy. Julia will be so very much missed. She was a leader and "pathfinder" for Retirees-- particularly in education. She was so dedicated. She persevered truly until the end of her life. She led by precept and example. What a legacy she has left behind!

Julia was indeed a treasure to know, and her impact on Western Zone of the New York State Retired Teachers' Association (NYSRTA) will live on forever. She was the "fortress" of our Friendly Service committee and over the years, sent thousands of cards to educators who were ninety years old and older. In her memory, the Board of Directors of WZ will make a donation to the Robert DeCormier Fund of NYSRTA, which assists retired educators in need. We all love you and will miss you, dear Julia!

On our behalf we wish to extend our deepest sympathy to all the friends of Julia Jones. She was a pillar in the Western Zone Retired Teachers Association. Her devotion to all retirees was shown in the Friendly Service activities she chaired on state and local level. A truly wonderful lady that was our pleasure to know. GOD BLESS !

Julia, may you bring your smile and joy to those you see in that heavenly place were you now reside. You, your caring ways and compassion will be sadly missed by those you touched while wearing your friendly service hat. Gods Speed!
