Julia Fay Polinski, 84, passed away at Alice Peck Day Extended Care Facility on Wednesday June 20, 2007. She was born on March 20, 1923 to the late John & Estabell (Braley) Holmes.

Julia was raised in the Lebanon vicinity and graduated from Lebanon High School. On April 14, 1941, she married Edward Polinski. She was employed many years by Lebanon College. She enjoyed cultivating her lilac and rose bushes, knitting and writing poetry. After raising her seven children, she earned her Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree and published two poetry books. She was a pioneer and advocate for the Upper Valley Association for Retarded Children now known as Pathways.

Mrs. Polinski was pre-deceased by a son Edward H. Polinski; two brothers Richard Holmes, Alfred Homes, and one Grandson Aaron Polinski. She is survived by two sons John and Thomas Polinski both of Enfield, four daughters Anne Bussiere of Haddem, CT, Mary Polinski of Pembroke, NH, Catherine Gowing of Canaan, NH, and Elizabeth Dyke of Orford NH. She is also survived by five sisters Barbara Mutney of Grantham, NH, Margaret Touchette of Sunapee, NH, Edith Willis of Grantham, NH, Emily Swensen of Goose Creek, SC, Beverly Bridge of Unity, NH, three grandchildren, one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Family & friends are invited to calling hours at Ricker Funeral in Lebanon on Sunday evening June 24, 2007 from 5 to 7 pm. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Lebanon at 10 am on Monday June 25, 2007. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lebanon.
