Not sure what to say?

St. Julia was my 5th grade teacher at St. Ambrose in Cheverly (1961). But more importantly she was director in the heyday of the girls and boys choirs. Back then there was a yearly Archdiocese wide competition of choirs, and the girls choir won it many times. They were THAT good. We even made an LP record in those years (now on a CD). Sr. Julia left a wonderful legacy with her musical and teaching talents - God Bless her. Mike Kerley (Class of 1964)

Sr. Julia was my teacher in 5th grade, St. Ambrose Elementary School, Cheverly, MD. She was an incredible teacher and a talented musician. To this day, I can hear her telling us, "Do the best you can, and leave the rest to God to finish." This wise counsel was remembered many times as I completed my PhD in Nursing. God bless her. Jane Fall-Dickson, RN, PhD, AOCN

Sister Julia was my teacher at St. Ambrose, 3rd and 4th grade in 1950 and '51. She left a lasting impression on me by her energy, kindness, and musical talent. No one could play the organ like Sister Julia. She was awesome. I sang in her children's choir during my years at St. Ambrose. I still sometimes sing the songs that I learned from her so many years ago. In recent years, we shared Christmas greetings and I enjoyed so much hearing from her and learning that she was still working with...

Sister Julia 2013

Sister Julia, you were such a blessing to our family. I was so sad to hear of your passing at Mass this past Saturday, September 20th. I will never forget how I met you, and all that we shared. You will be dearly missed. Rest in peace ... The Fernandez Family

Sister Julia was my 3rd and 5th grade teacher at St Ambrose in Cheverly. Also she was my daughter Jennifer and my son Daniel's Kindergarten teacher at St. Ambrose. Besides being a wonder teacher, she was a loving friend. My husband was prepared by her to be received into the church. I will miss our talks, her advice and love.

Sr. Julia was my 6th grade teacher at St. James School in Springfield, NJ. She was also my piano teacher for a few years. We all loved her! She always had a way to make you smile! We called her the singing nun. I know she will be singing in the Heavens and smiling down on us! RIP. Elaine Sammarco Greza

I send my condolences to the family of Sister Julia. She was my first piano teacher at age 10 and music teacher at St. James.

Sister Julia was a caring and wonderful piano teacher to my son.
She wanted to share her knowledge and love of music to everyone.
We shared many conversations and laughter and enjoyed each other's company. The conversations were positive and encouraging. She let you feel the beauty in all things, especially in music. She was indeed a strong and ambitious person. We are glad that we met her and got to know her in our lives. We miss and love her. She will always be in our hearts...

Sister Julia's passion for music was second to none. May she rest in peace.
