Julia Sievert

Julia Elizabeth Perring Sievert, age 69, of Manistee, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, October 27, 2015 with her husband, Ernest Eugene Sievert, at her side after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born on April 3rd, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of James Frederick and Esther Elizabeth (Leonard) Perring, who preceded her in death in 1965. She was also preceded in death by three sons, Jonathan, Andrew and Steven Sievert in 2002.
Julia was considered a "homemaker", however, not just to her supersized family, but to an "army' of friends that her children brought home. She became "Mom" to more people than we can count. Her greatest joy in life was being just that, "Mom", and the more the merrier.
She is survived by Ernest, her husband of 53 years; by a sister, Connie Bowen, by a brother, James Perring; by her daughters, Elizabeth Sievert and Wendy (Jeff) Bradley; by her sons, Randy (Kathy) Sievert, Chris (Suzy) Sievert, Kent Sievert, Joshua (Tiffany) Sievert and Jeffrey (Joan) Sievert. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, Arick, Samantha, Crystal, Austin, Logan, Justin, Jazzy, Marcus, Zachary, Colt, Nick, Noah, Tyler, Chrissy, Ashley, Caleb, Charlie, Dallas, Andrea, Kathryn and Arin, along with eight great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 8th from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Manistee Township Hall.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation of Manistee.
