Julia was the sweetest child I ever met. Always loving and caring about others. Great sense of humor and so smart. She will always hold a place in my heart.

Slocum Family,

I was so sorry to hear of Julia's passing. God created someone very special when he created her. I know my Mom and Dad always enjoyed interacting with her and her nurse on their little walks. For me, I knew the sun was always shining when Julia was around. She was such a joy. May you fill the void in your hearts with all the memories you have of your little angel.

Each day that Julia was at Camp Christopher, the sun shined a little bit brighter. No matter how your day was going or what had happened, Julia's happiness made everything a little bit better. As a younger child, she made a point of spending time talking to and visiting with the campers who used wheelchairs every day, asking them how they were doing, even if they could not or did not respond back.
