Julian Gocek, born in Syracuse, September 22, 1917, passed away in Oswego on March 26. Julian proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945, having landed on Omaha Beach with the 897th Ordnance Heavy Automotive Maintenance Company.
