Dr. Julian Kelly McLendon

Jay and I were in residency together in Bristol, and Mike and I absolutely loved spending time with him and Darlene. For years we had a frequent reminder of them through the sourdough starter they gave us! I was just remembering them today and wondered where they were. I am so very sorry to hear of Jay's passing and of the struggles the family must have gone through along the way. Prayers are going up for Darlene and family. To the McLendon family, We are just now hearing of Dr. McLendon's passing. He was our family doctor for many years. He always treated us more like family than patients. We loved him dearly. He was a great man and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I just heard this sad news. You were and will be remembered as the kindest souls. From my first visit you listened and cared. That mix of personable and professional is a tough medium but you made it easy. I will miss our chats. My sincerest condolences to the entire "Mac" family. Kevin Ian Barrow - your fav patient.

Darlene , Kelly & Jessica - I just learned of your loss. Please know that y'all are in our prayers. Dr J always lit up like a Christmas when he would tell me about your paths to adulthood - he was so very proud of you 2 and Darlene was the delight of his life or so he told me - !!

Dr. McClendon was my wife's family physician for over twenty years and mine for over fifteen. We grew to appreciate, and love him as both a doctor and a man. He was always patient, kind, courteous and funny whenever you went to see him. Our prayers go out to his family and to all who knew him.
