Please send this to her daughter: Cousin Julianne was my first cousin, her late father Tom was my mother's brother. Dearest Julianne, Your courage and your grace have touched so many lives, including mine. I miss you and cherish our memories. I am sending love and prayers to your family and deepest sympathy for their loss. Thank you for being part of my life.

This is a beautifully written, articulate and authentic description of this singular woman and her impressive accomplishments, her passion for education and for the students she embraced and her faith in Christ which was central to her life. She stands out in our minds as a person of honor and distinction who leaves an imprint that will surely continue to impact many for years to come.

The impact of her presence in my life will always be visible. She was the most dedicated and passionate professor I've had the pleasure of being around, and became a cherished friend. I am most fortunate to have known her and had her a part of my life. Her memory will forever be treasured.
