Julie Anderson Obituary

Family-Placed Death Notice

ANDERSON, Julie JULIE MARIE ANDERSON Julie Marie Anderson, age 23, of Sandy Springs, GA passed away peacefully at home from complications of cerebral palsy on March 1, 2012 surrounded by her loving family, nurses and friends. Julie touched the lives of many people with her beautiful smile, laughter and strong will to live. With the help of her nurse Elba, she loved to visit many stores in Sandy Springs to meet the people and listen to their voices. She loved to hang out with her best friend Leanna. Julie's life was all the more remarkable because she was blind and confined to a wheelchair. Julie's family will always be grateful to her doctors, nurses and friends, especially Dr. Stephanie Corn and Elaine Levine. Her dedicated nurses and friends included: Virgie Williams, Connie Waldrop, Elba Brooks, Susan Calhoun, Cheryl Bashir, Tracy Favors, Andrea Watson, Lisa Reisman and many others. Their concern for her daily care was the reason Julie was able to experience many happy days during her short life. Julie last attended Centennial High School and graduated in 2010. She was the daughter of Steve and Ellen Anderson of Sandy Springs. She is survived by her loving sister Michelle Anderson of Sandy Springs. She was the granddaughter of the late Phil Anderson and Virgil Blackwell. Additional survivors include grandparents Laverne Blackwell of Houston, TX and Mary Anderson of Sandy Springs, GA. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins throughout the U.S. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to one of the organizations in Julie's memory. FOCUS (Families of Children Under Stress) 3825 Presidential Parkway, Suite 103, Atlanta, GA 30340 or Scottish Rite Children's Hospital. www.choa.org (select Support Children's tab). A celebration of Julie's life will be held at 70 Landsdowne Dr, NW, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Please feel free to drop by on Saturday, March 24, 2012 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

To The Anderson Family,
My deepest condolences and prayers are with you, and your loved ones. May the many good memories of her wonderful life, bring you some comfort and peace in your times of grief. The 23rd Psalms has brought me comfort, I hope that it will comfort you as well. It says:
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. ? 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, ?he leads me beside quiet waters, ? 3 he refreshes my soul. ?He guides me along the right paths ?   for his name's sake. ?4 Even though I walk ?   through the darkest valley,[a] ?I will fear no evil, ?   for you are with me; ?your rod and your staff, ?   they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me ?   in the presence of my enemies. ?You anoint my head with oil; ?   my cup overflows. ?6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me ?   all the days of my life, ?and I will dwell in the house of the LORD ?   forever.
With Heartfelt Sympathy
