Julie lived across the street and up one house from my sister and I on S.E. 106th. Although I was never real close to her, as she was two years ahead of me in school, we had a lot of chit chats with each other and I will always remember her as a very friendly and outgoing person. It was Lucille Spenst/Leach that kept the 106th group up to date on everyone, including Julie. She will be remembered by all of us on 106th-------------------My deepest sympathy to the family.

Julie and I grew up on SE 106th in Portland. We were the same age. I went waterskiing with she and her Mom and Dad.I last saw her at a David Douglas High reunion.
My mother Lucille Spenst Leach kept in touch with Julie's folks and her over the years. Recently I invited Julie to Mom's 90th and was saddened I did not get to see her, she wasn't feeling well from her treatments. Julie was one of the sweetest person I knew. I loved to laugh, play, and just generally to be around her. Lorne and I will miss her. She was a sweetheart. She was like a sister to me.
