Julie Denham

Julie Denham, age 50, of East Chicago, IN passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018.

Julie is survived by her loving daughters: Kenya (Hakeem) Atanda; Kenyata (Morgan) Armstrong; and Kaylynn Yarbrough-Denham; three grandchildren: Violet Sky Richardson; Dijohn “DJ” Martinez Keaton; and Dracen Martinez Keaton; four sisters: Joyana (Eric) Ford; Joyla Denham; Joy (Devaughn) Benion; Clarisa Thornton; two brothers: Boris (Sandra) Denham; LaTroy “Bob” Denham; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents: Classie & Elvira Denham

Julie was a very generous and selfless person.  She was always lending a hand to family, friends, and the elderly.  Julie enjoyed helping anyone in need, and she was giving of her time.  She loved her children and grandchildren dearly.  Julie encouraged her daughters to be strong, independent, and the best version of themselves.  She was affectionately known as “Jewels” by her family and “Mama JuJu” by her grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Family Christian Center, 340 W. 45th Ave, Munster, IN 46321 at 10:00 AM.
