Julie was born in Plainfield, was raised and lived in Westfield. She settled to Scotch Plains with her loving husband Joe. After graduating from Westfield High School, Julie became a waitress at the Jolly Trolley in Westfield for many years before joining the family business and becoming the Office Manager at the Rossi Funeral Home in 1988. Julie was an avid reader who would share books she enjoyed with her sister and family members. She always had time to play her favorite game, mahjong. Julie loved to escape for a quick trip to Atlantic City with her mom and husband for some gambling or to watch a title fight with her sister Bernadette. Julie would venture to go play Bingo with her family at all the local churches. She had a unique talent for shopping, be it clothing, shoes or food, and she always had goodies for her husband and nephews. Julie always looked forward to the holidays and family gatherings because she loved to be in the kitchen, to cook, and to share her love of food and recipes with her family. Most of all, Julie’s greatest loves were her dog, a robust Maltese named Joey, her nephews Nicholas, Jason, and Bryan, and as of recent, the apple of her eye was her great-nephew Lucas who she loved to kiss, snuggle and adorn with every toy possible.
Julie is predeceased by her parents Frederick L. and Frances A. Stoecker. She is survived by her husband Joseph; her brother Anthony F. Stoecker and wife Lorraine; her sister Bernadette M. Stoecker-Rossi; her nephews Jason A. Stoecker and wife Stephanie, Bryan M. Stoecker and wife Tina, and Nicholas Rajoppi; and her great-nephew Lucas M. Stoecker.
