Not sure what to say?

It's been a decade, Jules. Your Walton Hall girls gave money to your Penn State Arboretum Lotus Pond and to your church in your memory. You are not forgotten. We remember your laugh, your compassion, your sense of fun, and your integrity. And we miss you.

My name is Joanne Ellis (Rader) and Julie was my roommate in graduate school. She was one of the kindest souls I ever met. We lost touch after graduate school. Tonight, my family and I were driving through Milheim on our way to PSU for my son's swim meet. We stopped for dinner at Elk Creek Cafe, a recommendation by my sister. thats my mother at night i always think of her and cry now i have a step mother named lisa but julie was the best mother anyone could have age 12

Thinking of you all and keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. Please let us know if there is anything we can do.

I was sorry to hear today that Julie had passed away. I remember her as a bright and helpful student in junior high and high school at Penns Valley Christian Academy. The picture with her obituary reveals the same pleasant person, many years later. The memories of her friends testify that she continued to be a blessing, even through the times of her own difficulties. That's the way I remember Julie being. Our prayers are with the family.

She had such a beautiful sense of humor, and made me laugh many, many times. Our reunion in May is also one of those special times I will treasure forever. She showed strength, courage, and faith - and even her great humor - despite her pain. What a wonderful person she was. She was a treasure in life and an inspiration now. Kent, Katie, and Jonis will...

I am saddened to hear of the news of Julie's passing. Julie was a kind and loving person and I am sure these values are part of the legacy she gifted to her family and friends.
