Not sure what to say?

Remembering Julie and what an inspiration she was.

Wayne and family, I can't believe it has been 7 years since Julie's passing. As a board member at the Police Foundation (now the National Policing Institute), Julie was a true inspiration to me. Remembering her lovely spirit. All my best, Karen L. Amendola

A wonderful classmate from UNC Chapel Hill in 1968 -- a psych major who befriended a business major who was kind of lost in pysch!!

Dear Wayne, My sympathies to you and the rest of Julie's family. I always enjoyed her company and kindness over the years. She was a lovely person. Love and prayers, Winnie Reed

Dear Wayne, Julie will truly be missed also by her friends in Germany. Keep well and all the best,
Elmar Weitekamp

I am sorry for your loss. Julie was always a bright spot in the lives of her friends, family and colleagues.

Wayne, David and I send sincere condolences to you. We recall an enjoyable afternoon with you two on our deck in Eastham on Cape Cod a few years ago. Julie was a good friend from our time at UNC Greensboro and then after we transferred to a Chapel Hill. Her keen intelligence, heartfelt commitment to social justice and her great good humor are my abiding memories of Julie. Heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.

Julie was such a wonder- smart, funny, lived life fully, enjoyed her family, friends and colleagues. I went to high school with Julie and we were roommates our first year in college...my only complaint was that she kept hitting the "snooze" button instead of getting up in the morning! We got to visit a few times through the years when her work and her daughter's soccer brought her to Colorado. Julie was also the sweetest with my Mom in Florence and they spent several wonderful hours together...

Wayne, I am so sorry about this tragedy. Please know I am keeping you in my thoughts. Janet Irons
