Julie MacDonald

Julie and I talked a lot about primary care and the importance of treating uninsured and underinsured patients. We even thought of her husband, Gary, joining us at Packard Community Clinic as a photographer. Our paths diverged but she was a soul sister and great for St. Joe.

Even though I have not kept in touch with Julie and family, I have thought about all of you often. I worked with Julie and Jennifer at Lutheran Hospital, in Nutrition Services, were I was lucky enough to work with Julie and Her parents during the lasagna/spaghetti dinners. My sympathy goes out to Gary and family, we all have loss a brillant shinning star.

Although Julie left La Crosse many years ago she has always remained a friend in my mind. I am very sorry to learn that she has past away. When alive she was a most gracious and kind person and I greatly valued her friendship. I will also remember all those wonderful spaghetti dinners. I never could believe she and you, Gary, did all that work. I hope your sense of loss will ease soon and that all the good memories you have of her will help you in the years to come.
