Although I did not know Julia, I send my sympathy to her family. What a long and wonderful life it sounds like she had! My children were patients from birth of Dr Pola, and we, too, missed her when she left the practice. What confidence and comfort she gave to this young mother of Ron, and twins Beth and Becky. Our sincere condolences. We are the granddaughters of Catherine & George Giemzik from Hegewisch. Julie was befriended by Catherine when she was a young woman and lived on Houston Ave. Our mother was Helen (Giemzik) Fialkowski who passed away at 90 yrs. of age in January, 2002.
