Not sure what to say?

Wonderful friends of my parents for decades.

Andrew, I wouldn´t expect you to remember, but Molly and my son Danny McManus were together at the Portland center for Hearing and Speech when there very young and we had all just learned of their hearing problems. Julie and I had many conversations as we watched the many ways we learned how to encourage speech and lip reading. She was great to talk to about our mutual tasks ahead of us.

I am sorry to hear about Julie's passing. She was my teacher at Riverdale and her husband was good friend's with my mother's cousin, Philip Miller. She was also born the same year as my father, Hal Broughton who justed turned 91. I hope to come to the service with my family and friends. She made a positive impact on so many people she helped educate:)

They were lovely people and will be...

When I moved to Portland from Australia to teach at Riverdale Julie met me at the airport. She had written my name inside the lid of a Nike box. That was the beginning of a friendship for over 30 years. A truly remarkable friend.
