Not sure what to say?

My belated but most heartfelt condolences to the Bencomo Family for the loss of their beloved father and mother, Joe and Julieta, my Godfather and Godmother. Although I was just a little kid in El Paso back in the early 1950s, I fondly remember you, Joe, as a real gentleman, distinct, and spirited, and I equally fondly remember you, Julieta, as such a gracious lady with an unforgettable natural smile. Two truly bright, kindhearted, and exemplary human beings; your children can certainly be...

To the Bencomo Family,

This is a time of celebration for our Tia Julieta. She always found the good in all of us, encouraged us, laughed with us, admonished us (for our own good). We each learned about the importance of fairness, tenacity, and the care of others. She will be greatly missed, but she will live in each one of us. We celebrate her life and praise God for giving us Tia Julieta.

God's Blessing to all,
"Frititos"

To my mom in America,

Thank you for accepting me into your family and loving and caring for me like your own child. You are such a loving and compassionate person. Because of you, this world is a better place. Your life continues in many of us.

Sincerely your son from Taiwan,

To My Loving Grandma,

Having you in my life has made me a better person. You taught me to stand up for what is right, to cherish every moment, and most importantly to love whole-heartedly. I admire you more than words can describe. You’ve been my shoulder to cry on, my guiding light and my faith. You believed in me even when I couldn’t find faith in myself. You’ve taught me to take pride in all that I do. You’re stories and our memories will live on in me for the rest of my...

Truly she was a member of the greatest generation, a generation that loses more and more members every day. She will be missed.

Her passing marks the end of a life lived well, generously, and to the fullest, but her legacy lives on. Those of us lucky enough to know her as a true friend, will always cherish her memory in the knowledge that her work opened doors for many Hispanics and others. You are missed! LUSOL (Mesa, AZ)

As one writer here said in an earlier message: "Kind eyes. Beautiful smile. Incredible soul." Indeed. I did not know Mrs. Bencomo, but after reading her biography I wish I had. The world is much better off and a much better place for her having been here. I worked with Julia at AARP and we have since become good friends. I like and admire her very much, and I want to convey my deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to Julia and her entire family. With respects, Juan J. Walte (Boynton...

Julie was an extraordinary woman who never knew a stranger. From the first time Julia brought me home, she treated me like family. My heartfelt sympathy to the family. Know you are in my thoughts and prayers. The world is a better place because of her, and that is an incredible legacy.
