Not sure what to say?

Dearest Juliiette, the living manifestation of 'big things come in small packages'. The impact you made on everything you touched will last eternally. God blessed the world the day you were born.

I just want to say what so many of us feel, that is, I feel so fortunate to have known Juliette. In fact, words are not sufficient to express the depth of this feeling, and the reality it reflects. Lucky little Juliette (her grandneice) to have been named for such a grand lady!

As a young Baha'i in Peoria, I remember Juliette teaching the children's classes at the old Baha'i center on New York Ave. She would make paper mache heads for puppets to tell the stories that we loved.

Later, she gave me my first teaching position at Learning Tree School. I learned a great deal from her about how to teach and about how children think.

Her intensity came through whenever she spoke. Whether she was talking about a student, a favorite book, or current events...

To the dear family members of our dear and blessed soul Juliette, How the members of the Baha'i Faith mourn with you and share your lost! Juliette was our dear sister and she will be sorely missed as a member of our spiritual family. Her vibrant personality and strong voice will be forever imprinted in my soul. Allah'u'Abha dear Juliette, there is now a hole in my heart. Mary Lou McLaughlin, Dow, IL.

I attended Carver Center with Ms. Whittaker back in the late 1970's. Every day when my Mother came to get me we would play "See You Later Alligator..." It's funny that I was looking at my graduation picture not to long ago, and wondering about all the Teachers there. She was a great woman and will be dearly missed. We are all blessed to have had her as part of our lives.

Truly a pioneer among women and a shining example of the Baha'i teachings and lifestyle. Her influence will long be felt and passed along.

I learned not to fear because of you, and became a decent spokes person.
We need a arts library in the name of you.
You left a lot in your foot steps, now can we continue.

Juliette was one of the MOST influential people of my life. I was just thinking the other day about the bahai talks we had and just how important she was to me. I loved her sense of humor, I try to live my life around that. She was always the most kind hearted, uplifting person, no wonder my grandmother, carolyn henderer loved her so much, along with many others. She is truly one of a kind, the kind you don't say hi and that's it. I will always miss her and think of her.

I have a letter here in my hand that I had written to Juliette and waiting to go the 45 minutes to the post office. I am so sorry I didn't get to talk to her. She was a dear soul. I enjoyed our lunches and talks over tea especially after my mother passed away. Bless her for all her goodness and properness and wise-woman opines. I had a paper cut in the letter, I brought it back from my time working in China of a butterfly as it was a symbol to her of the after life. I know she is fully free...
