My deepest condolences to the family. My maiden name is Ana Guiu. My father was Joaquin Guiu, son of Filiberta Carballosa. When we first arrived in Miami, in 1962, I remember we stayed with Julio Carballosa's family. I believe they were the ones who sponsored our visas to get to the US. I don't know if Julio Sr. Was my dad's uncle or his cousin. In any case, both my parents have passed, and I have no one to provide the details anymore, as my own memory has faded. I would love to reconnect...
