Not sure what to say?

I met Julio in German 1 class when he was a Freshman at YHS and I was a Sophomore. At the time, he was only 5´9´ or so and nice as can be but also quite unassuming. Though we never shared a classroom again, I kept up with him throughout high school. He had a growth spurt his Junior year and began excelling on the hardwood. Julio Gallardo as a basketball player was so talented. My brothers and I watched Julio in Christmas tournaments in Silver City NM where he was the best player on court by far. He was introduced to crowd with a cheerleader under each of his arms as the announcer would sing "Hooooooleeeo GUYardo" and then the fans would be in for a treat. Julio was the man!

We are always recalling Julio's great personality and sense of humor. He is truly missed

Julio Gallardo was the best coolest basketball player to come out of El Paso. He dominated the Christmas tournament in Silver City and came out on court during warm ups with perfect hair and a cheerleader under each arm. RIP to the ultimate basketball player.

Years have passed and we continue to miss Julio and the great memories
