Peppler Funeral Home - Allentown Obituary

Julio J. Lugo, Jr, 60, of East Windsor, passed away suddenly on Monday, August 28, 2023 at his home.  Born in Manhattan, NY, he was a graduate of Baruch College in New York. Julio worked for BNY Mellon for many years and currently worked for Advisor Shares in Bethesda, MD.  He loved to play golf and enjoyed all the time he spent with his golfing buddies at Peddie School Golf Club.  He was an avid sports fan, especially of the NY Mets and Jets.  Julio loved to cook, go on vacations to LBI and take trips to Puerto Rico, where his grandparents were from.  Above all, his greatest love was his family and supporting his sons with their sporting endeavors, as a coach for their little league teams and later as Jonathan pursued baseball and Connor, football.

Son of the late Julio J. Lugo, Sr., he is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Ann Nahaczewski; his sons, Jonathan Lugo of Ellicott City, MD, and Connor Lugo of Salisbury, MD; his mother, Emma Lugo of High Point, NC; sister, Vivian and Jim Caruolo of North Kingstown, RI; brother, Richard and Linda Lugo of High Point, NC, his beloved dog, Tessa, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation with the family will be held Thursday, August 31st from 3-8pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown, NJ.  Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 1st at 10:30am at the funeral home.

Not sure what to say?

Greatest and friendliest guy ever! Everytime I came to town and got to meet up with Julio he was always a joy to be with. Great memories and he will be missed

I only knew Julio for a short time when I was the professional at Peddie Golf Club in 2020. But in that short time, he made quite the impression. He was a gentleman and always was thinking of others. When I think of Peddie Golf Club, for where I have many fond memories, Julio is the first person to come to mind. He was truly "The Face of Peddie Golf Club" and an Ambassador to Peddie Golf and golf in general. He will be sorely missed. RIP my friend!!

Was shocked and saddened to hear of Jule's passing. He was a bright light in the office, always keeping our spirits up with funny stories, often about his kids who he was so proud. I will cherish memories of lunches with him at the Palm near our office (of course, he had his own caricature on the wall), occasional golf outings, and his annual stint as Santa at the BNY Mellon Kids Day Holiday party. We lost a good one, way too soon.

I’m so very sorry to hear of Julio’s passing. Julio and I worked together at BNY Mellon. He was a kind, funny and dedicated colleague, and I hold fond memories of our time working together. He always spoke with such joy and love of his family and my thoughts are with them. Rest in peace, Julio.

I'm so sad to hear of Julio's passing. Julio and I went to high school together and also live in East Windsor. My deepest condolences to the Lugo family, his wife Anne and sons. Emma, Vivian, Ricky, I'm at a loss of words. Sending you my heartfelt condolences, prayers and love during this very difficult time. May Julio rest in eternal peace.

Oh Emma , so sorry to hear. RIP Way too young! John and Pat Ferraris

I am so so sad to hear of Julio’s passing. Always a kind and gentle soul who made me feel welcome. I look back on the days we all played on Third Place and Preston Street with such fondness. I am thinking and praying for all of you. May his memory be a blessing.

Julio was a shining light in my 5th grade class back in 1973. I remember his academic excellence and his fun personality. He is someone I always remember with fondness.

Sending hugs to his mom and siblings who are also fresh in my memory.

A day spent with Julio on the golf course was a highlight for anyone who had the opportunity to enjoy it. He was a great family man and friend, and was our greatest ambassador. He will be sorely missed and fiercely remembered. Condolences and sympathy to Ann and the rest of the Lugo family.
