To the family, many, many friends, and fans of this great person who played a former Major League Baseball shortstop who won the World Series in 2007 with the Boston Red Sox. My deepest condolences to Julio Lugo and his family! I knew Julio since child hood in Bklyn NY. We played Little league at 68th pct and then we played travel ball vs each other and High school Ball. Julio was a good person, a gd friend and a gd son and brother to his Mother and his brother Rudy. God Bless and Rest in Peace.

I coached Julio when he played for Youth Service League. He was a great player but a better person. Warm loving spirit who was always smiling. He ran hard to first base all the time.

Not personally knowing Julio - Doesn't really matter what team he played for - - His Knowledge
of the game and how he played the game is the
Big Thing he did in his mind to Win ball games.
